About the Preliminary Examination
The Thesis Formatting Review requires the following steps: Scheduling the meeting to occur before the thesis/dissertation defense. Submitting an electronic copy of the thesis via email to the Thesis Advisor two days prior to the review meeting for submission to the iThenticate plagiarism checking software. Attending the Thesis review meeting Step 4: Provide a copy of your thesis proposal to all committee members at least 2 weeks before the preliminary exam. Results: The doctoral advisory committee will report the results of the preliminary examination through the Graduate School Web Database Our research-based, thesis MSECE track prepares students to pursue a PhD or to join the industry workforce. Application Deadlines
Consistent with the research emphasis in the PhD program, all PhD students are required to register for at least one credit hour of ECE (Introduction to Graduate Research) or ECE (PhD Thesis Research) in their first and second semesters in the PhD program.
